Children and young people matter to us and we try to include them and relate the Christian faith to them in a relevant and interesting way.
Mums & Toddler group operates on Friday mornings during term-time.
We run a special programme, “Sunday Club” for children and young people (3-16) during the morning service, with a crèche for the youngest children.
Holiday Bible Club is a popular annual event at the end of July for 5s-12s. The Club opens every weekday morning for a week and includes a Thursday evening BBQ to which parents are invited. A two-hour
Saturday morning Bible Club runs every other month.
One of our Elders, Mike Sladen leads in the work for children with his wife Heather, and can be contacted for any of the children’s activities in the church.
We have a Minister for Youth, Stuart Earl, dedicated to supporting and leading the youth in the community and in our church. This includes working in the schools and local youth clubs, including our own Friday Club. The Youth Ministry Department at BBC is called “X-stream”. Activities for church young people include the monthly
X-alt youth event, RS2 on Wednesday evenings for those in school years 7 to 9, and weekly Cell Group meetings for those in school year 9 and above. All of these provide an opportunity for fellowship, worship, teaching, discussion, prayer, and support.
Friday Club runs at the church on Friday evenings during term-times. It caters for 11-18 with table tennis and similar activities.
