In our garden

In our garden, hanging on next doors garage wall is a nesting box. This year, for the first time, after three years, we have a pair of very active Blue Tits who have diligently, laid, hatched and fed several chicks, yet to be seen. We know there are chicks because our social distancing granddaughters heard them chirping when they dropped off some shopping the other day. The mother and father of the chicks are relentlessly flying in and out of the box with beaks loaded with various grubs and flies for their kids to eat and gain strength. Not food I would like, although my daughter Andrea has eaten Flying Ants in Malawi. Anyway back to the Blue Tits. I think it’s amazing how they flourish, unaware of the pandemic circulating around them. Through this tireless activity I am reminded of the passage in Matthew where Jesus speaks about the birds of the air. Look it up, it’s in Matthew 6 v 26. God provides for each of these creatures needs, how much more then will He look after us. Jesus said it was so, so it must be true. Do you believe it? Look at Romans 8 v 31 -32, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? (this situation we find ourselves in). If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
So feed on Him the Living Bread just like chicks.
God richly bless you.
